SARN is always looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join the team.

Interested in becoming a SARN advocate?

SARN advocates provide support and advocacy to survivors and their family and friends. A SARN advocate must be a student and go through the 40 hour HOPE Center training. A SARN advocate must actively participate and come to meetings in order to maintain membership.

An active advocate must regularly attend meetings and be committed to the organization
There are rare exceptions when a person has demonstrated adequate training from another Minnesota source is granted membership.
Advocates are encouraged to attend study-abroad programs and may return to active participation upon their return to St. Olaf.

Interested in becoming a SARN educator?

A SARN educator is responsible for presenting information about SARN, resources and healthy relationships in first-year corridor education talks. Educators must be students and must also attend a one-hour training session offered in early Fall Semester. Educators need to attend training on an annual basis.

Interested in becoming a SARN general member?

General members of SARN may attend meetings and assist with event planning, volunteering and advertising for SARN activities. Any St. Olaf student may be a general member of SARN.
